A growing number of thefts and burglaries force us to ever new forms for protection of our property. In case of houses or flats the most common way used by burglars is the door. Hence the importance of their proper protection.
The main element of the handles with snap caps is special insert. Handles are mounted to it. The advantage of ZnAl inserts is the possibility to precisely conduct handle support components. The insert carries the load, allows applying solutions increasing safety. Caps used in these plates are usually in the aluminium form, powder coated or with anodized layer.
Available are also caps of stainless steel and brass. Their task is covering the mounting screws on plates. Mounting caps on the insert is carried out with mechanical latch, using steel ball resting on the spring, and in case of the plate 35A also using fixed projections arranged on sides of the plate. It is a very effective way to protect caps against their removal.
In order to ensure greater security in outer plates we used security of lock cylinder, implemented through hardened steel plate. Another more advanced manner to protect is a special steel insert ZA. This is a cap made of stainless steel, designed so as to prevent a burglar from direct access to the lock cylinder.
This element is mounted in the sign in a way preventing its removal by unauthorised people. At the same time construction of the plate allows some flexibility in the length of the lock cylinder used in the door. It compensates for variable distances from the front of the lock cylinder to the door surface, depending on their thickness and construction.

Using these solutions, our products meet the requirements of EN 1906, and consequently, also to DIN 18257, which applies to point 4.1.8 of the European standard. Standard DIN 18257 in its requirements also contains provisions concerning dimensions of the elements affecting safety. Our products comply with these restrictions and obtained, after testing at the institute PIVcert class ES1, which is equivalent to a class 2 EN 1906.
